MHPCO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR
17th ANNUAL HOSPICE AIDE CONFERENCE

This year Michigan Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (MHPCO) is proud to sponsor the 17th Annual Hospice Aide Conference. Often the Hospice Aides play the role of listener and confidant for their patients and families. A very important part of this conference is the Sondra Seely Scholarship Fund, which gives some very deserving individual(s) the opportunity to attend the Conference at our expense. In the past MHPCO has been able to give out 2-3 scholarships but the number of available scholarships has not been determined yet.

How many scholarships will be awarded will depend on donations received from our hospice programs and individual supporters. If you would like to make a donation to the Sondra Seely Scholarship Fund, please do so by downloading the donor form below. (Thank you so much in advance)

Don’t forget to nominate a deserving Hospice Aide today, you can download a nomination form below.
If you have any questions about the process, please contact our office at (517) 886-6667

CALL FOR PROPOSALS EXTENDED
MHPCO 2009 VOLUNTEER SYMPOSIUM

“Your Best Foot Forward”
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Annual MHPCO Volunteer Symposium features information and education on subjects that affect and interest all levels of volunteers and those that manage volunteers within hospice and hospice-related organizations.

The Symposium also features educational sessions that are of interest to Bereavement Coordinators and other hospice workers. The 2009 Volunteer Symposium will be back this year at the DoubleTree Hotel in the quaint town of Bay City, Michigan during peak fall color season in northern Michigan. The attending audience includes volunteers from nearly every profession, many retired and now giving time to help the terminally ill and their families.
The Symposium also features sessions targeted specifically at Volunteer Coordinators.

NOTE: Since the title/theme for 2009 is “Your Best Foot Forward”, we are seeking presenters who can incorporate this theme into their presentation. We know that each of you will find an interesting way to tie your presentation into the theme.
Thank you, and we look forward to your submission(s)
