The 28th Annual Michigan Hospice & Palliative Care Organization Volunteer Symposium, “Spirit of the Team” is scheduled for October 22-24, 2010 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bay City, Michigan. In a “team” effort MHPCO and the MHPCO Education Committee “scored” a “homerun” with this year’s “coaches” who are willing to share their “motivation” and expertise with the “spirited” volunteers and volunteer coordinators.

Local Resident Runs to Remember—and Raises Funds for MHPCO

The Michigan Hospice and Palliative Care Organization announces that John Howes will be participating in the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington, D.C. on October 31st as part of the National Hospice Foundation’s Run to Remember program.

John is raising funds in support of hospice care, which is the focus of the Run to Remember program.

Fifty percent of the net proceeds raised will be returned from the National Hospice Foundation (NHF) to MHPCO. John’s passion for running for hospice stems from the loss of his own father. He remembers how hospice made his father's last days so much easier to handle. John said "For this I will be forever grateful and want to run to show my appreciation".

Please support John by making a donation today.
